“It was an absolute honor to work with Dan at the Association of Government Accountants (AGA), Trenton Chapter's Spring Professional Development Training (PDT). During the planning process for the PDT, Dan was extremely responsive, kind, and insightful. Dan spoke on Cybersecurity - the Human Element and the AGA Trenton Chapter has heard nothing but 5-star remarks regarding his presentation! Not only was the session information presented in a very professional manner, but he also had a wonderful disposition throughout the presentation, keeping our attendees glued to their screens. I would highly recommend Dan for any future events and will be sure to seek him out at any future conferences!” - Nikki, CICA, Financial and Purchasing Manager at New Jersey Office of Legislative Services
“Dan and I have worked together on security conferences and events for over 3 years. We have collaborated on countless webinars over the years and in 2020 we developed a new CISO-focused original series together which has been extremely popular on BrightTALK. I have relied on Dan to deliver insightful and educational content on security topics in our summits and in-person panels, and he has exceeded my expectations every single time. Dan's cybersecurity expertise and knowledge - that span both government and industry - have been invaluable to BrightTALK audiences. Dan is also genuinely nice and a joy to work with. I've learned so much from him.” - Marija, Amazon Web Services
“Dan was our inaugural speaker for our Equity Project initiative at NSU Florida. We sought out an expert in government technology and Dan certainly fit the bill. Dan was generous with his time and made the planning effortless. His presentation, Smart Cities, IoT, and Security drew a large crowd, he had a wonderful knack for making complex subject matter relatable and easy to understand, and he engaged effectively with the audience, which was apparent by the quality of the Q/A session. I would highly recommend Dan!" - Megan, Executive Director, Institute for Human and Planetary Sustainability at the University of Houston-Clear Lake
“Dan was an absolutely wonderful keynote speaker at GISEC. He did not limit his engagement to the fantastic keynote he delivered. His interaction with the media, marketing and sales teams pre-event was outstanding. Dan live-tweeted for us, liaised with the press for media interviews, and liaised constantly with our PR agency for comments and we were able to build great momentum and received a tremendous response as a result. His keynote was in-depth, delivered in a charismatic style and received excellent reviews. Would love to work with Dan again in the future!” - Ayusha, Portfolio Director, Dubai World Trade Centre
“Dan is a pioneer in the cyber security and information assurance field. He has consistently been a national leader and has taken time to mentor and advise more junior security executives. He's a passionate public servant and an amazing leader.” - Jonathan, CISO and SVP of Solutions Architecture
“Dan Lohrmann, CTO & Director of Infrastructure Services, Department of Information Technology, Michigan was invited to present a keynote at the 4th annual State IT Agency GovTech conference in South Africa during September 2009. In his talk, Dan offered unique insight into the challenges governments face in securing Government in a digital world. He argued that national and international cooperation is critical right now and building partnerships is a growing approach to ICT security. An example of this cooperation, he noted, was the US government that is currently working with eight other countries around the world testing for reaction to situations where the internet and electricity grid are cut at the same time as a cyber-attack is simulated. His talk was insightful and informative, and SITA looks forward to hosting Dan again.” - Mariette, Marketing Sevices Consultant South Africa, State IT Agency (SITA)
“Dan's blog on CSOonline.com has been valuable for readers on several levels. He has provided great insight into solving the technical and organizational challenges of security and has brought in questions of ethics that sometimes get overlooked but are absolutely essential to the profession. Since his move into the CTO role, he has provided a great additional perspective to his contributions. Something I particularly admire is that Dan's communication is ALWAYS respectful and constructive, no matter how prickly a particular issue might be. That's a great model for security pros (well, all of us really) to emulate.” - Derek, Editor of CSO Magazine
