Michelle McKenna

Michelle McKenna is a leading expert of technological strategies, having worked for some of the world’s largest organisations. From football to theme parks, Michelle has spearheaded technical strategies and overseen aspects such as business development, operations and finance. With a distinguished corporate career behind her, Michelle is often booked as a speaker for a range of different events covering topics of technology, women in business and operational change.

Throughout the course of her career, Michelle has been a pivotal figure in the technological strategies of many organisations across a variety of sectors. She is best known for her current role as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of the National Football League. As the CIO and SVP, Michelle’s responsibilities include developing the technical strategies of the organisation, and ensuring that they are managed and delivered to a high standard. Michelle is also well known for her former role as the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Universal Orlando Resort. During her tenure within The Walt Disney World Company, a company with which she worked for 13 years, Michelle was in charge of technology in the launch of the famous Wizarding World of Harry Potter attraction.

Before forging a successful career as a CIO, Michelle studied at Auburn University and the Crummer Graduate School of Business, graduating with a Bachelors in Accounting and a Masters in Business Administration. From that point on Michelle forged a reputable name as a businesswoman, having also worked as the Chief Information Officer for Constellation Energy and the Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer and CRM of Centex Destination Properties. With such organisations, Michelle developed an understanding of everything from business development and operations to finance, technology leadership and marketing.

Currently the SVP and CIO of the NFL, Michelle has also dedicated a great deal of her time to working as a board member for several companies. She has previously been a board member of ComScore, Insperity, Quotient Technologies and Ring Central amongst working on committees for audits, compensation, special transactions and enterprise risk management. With an adept understanding of operational change, finance, technology and marketing, Michelle is considered to be an outstanding addition to boards.

Outside of business, Michelle has enjoyed a variety of appearances across world media and as a keynote speaker. Recipient of the Game Changer Award by Sports Business Journal, Michelle has appeared on the likes of Bloomberg TV, Good Day New York, The Huffington Post and Smart Girls as well as being a member of the Technology Executive Council for CNBC. As a keynote speaker, Michelle is sought to speak on women in business, operational change and technology, having formerly spoken at events such as Microsoft Ignite, Extreme Connect and Information Week.
