Corey Seemiller

Dr Corey Seemiller is a preeminent authority on Generation Z, having committed her career to academia and understanding Generation Z in school, the workplace and in the community. Currently working as a Professor in Organisational Leadership in the Department of Leadership Studies in Education and Organizations at Wright State University, Corey is committed to creating the next generation of strong leaders. Now hired as a keynote speaker nationally and internationally, Corey shares her expertise on Generation Z, consulting with all manner of clients on how they can better understand the styles, perspectives and characteristics of Generation Z.

After studying at Arizona State University, Corey began her career working as a Residence Hall Director at Northern Arizona University, responsible for a residential complex of almost 500 students. She later became the Hall Director and Area Coordinator at Washington State University and the Residential Life Coordinator at Sonoma State University, before becoming an Adjunct Faculty Member of Pima Community College. In 2002, Corey was recruited as the Senior Coordinator and Coordinator of Leadership Development for the University of Arizona, working her way through the ranks to become the Director of Leadership Programs and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona.

Having also worked as the Director of Leadership, Learning and Assessment for OrgSync, Corey is now considered one of the most preeminent authorities on Generation Z on the speaking circuit. Having established her reputation as a Generation Z expert, Corey has been researching this generation since they started college, having conducted nationwide studies on Generation Z students. Some of her most prominent reports have included the Generation Z Stories Project, the Gen Z Voices On Voting, and she has also authored several books with Dr Meghan Grace – such as the titles Generation Z Goes To College, Generation Z: A Century in the Making and Generation Z Learns. With such expertise to her name, Corey is also highly sought after to share her knowledge in the likes of the New York Times, Bloomberg, Cheddar and Newsy.

Having formerly been the Co-Chair of the National Leadership Symposium and the Co-Chair of the Leadership Education Academy, Corey is widely regarded as an authoritative speaker on leadership and Generation Z for educational and corporate events.
