Colin Judge has spent the vast majority of his life inspiring people. Born with no legs and without one of his arms, Colin would find himself growing up unlike other children, but it was the solitude of his teen years that would spark a new flame within him. Now doubling as an accomplished 6x Irish National Table Tennis Champion and Motivational Speaker, Colin has become an inspirational icon for audiences.
During his youth, Colin had a wonderful upbringing. His childhood was filled with love and encouragement, and his parents saw to it that he had the independence he needed to thrive. Unfortunately, his teenage years led to many struggles. From physical limitations to self-confidence issues, Colin found himself quite isolated from those around him. During this time, he knew things had to change, so he tried to focus his attention on something entirely new. This was when he discovered table tennis. Suddenly, he felt as though he belonged, and he began to accept himself in ways he never had before.
Since then, everything changed. Only four years after discovering the sport, he made his international debut – all while studying for his Leaving Cert. Sadly, juggling sport and education was far from straightforward, so Colin primarily focused his attention on achieving his first choice course - Actuarial and Financial Studies at UCD. Thankfully, his hard work paid off, and he ended up graduating from this very course with an impressive 2:1 degree. Following his graduation, he spent two years as an Actuary for KPMG. And yet, Colin just couldn’t seem to ignore the magnetic pull he felt toward table tennis. So, in 2019, he went on sabbatical to channel his efforts toward living his Paralympic dream.
Fast forward to the present day, Colin is now a prominent figure within the table tennis scene. As the current European Champion with a wealth of international titles to his name, he has managed to showcase his resilience to the world time and time again. An accomplished athlete, trained actuarial analyst, and motivational speaker, Colin Judge is the perfect person to uplift any event.
