Christopher T.S. Harvey

Christopher T. S. Harvey is an international keynote speaker, writer and thought leader in change management. Known globally as ‘The Change Guy’, he helps leaders and organisations make sense of transformation, culture and the future of work. Currently Head of Change at Tesco, he has delivered more than 200 projects across energy, retail, finance and professional services, guiding teams through some of the most complex change initiatives in business. His proudest achievement to date is leading Tesco’s Change Management Team to be named ‘Best Team’ in Change at the 2024 Women in Change Awards, sponsored by Diageo.

Christopher’s journey began at the University of St Andrews, where he graduated with an MA in Management, focusing on business psychology and organisational behaviour. His interest in the human side of change took root early, later developing through roles at GE, Siemens, and Acteon Group, where he managed communications, stakeholder engagement and large-scale transformation efforts. A pivotal point came when he was nominated to attend the High Potentials Leadership Programme at Harvard Business School, an experience that refined his approach to leadership, coaching and transformation. These early years gave him a grounded understanding of how people respond to uncertainty and how culture underpins every successful organisational shift.

Over the next decade, Christopher became a recognised authority in his field. He held senior leadership roles including Director of Change, Communications and Culture at PwC, Director of Change and Communications at Mercer, and now Head of Change at Tesco. He has built global change communities of practice from the ground up, driven digital transformation agendas and overseen multi-year strategic programmes across continents. Alongside his corporate work, he has been featured as a published writer in GQ Magazine, HR Magazine, the BBC, The Telegraph and Business Insider, contributing thought pieces on change, productivity and the future of work. His insights have also been cited in academic research on automation, AI and workplace evolution, further reinforcing his position as a thought leader in his domain.
