Chip completed a BS in Psychology from Warner University and an MS in Human Resources and Organisational Development from Barry University. He then spent 9 years as a management training coordinator at a 365-bed hospital in Florida. During his time at the hospital, he built the Institute for Leadership Development, a corporate university, aimed at providing courses for managerial skill development, personal and professional growth for hospital employees.
His background in management, psychology, and organisational development armed Chip with the necessary tools to obtain results. Utilising his expertise, Chip created 39 courses and 3 internal degree programs for ILD, generating interest from other organisations due to the quality of the content Chip was offering. Conscience of his ability to deliver excellent content, backed by demand from other organisations, Chip decided to launch Madera Productions Inc, becoming a full-time professional keynote speaker.
In 1995 Chip was diagnosed with cancer, at that point, he developed the motivation to develop himself to his full potential. In the process, he gained the passion to encourage and inspire others to discover their ultimate potential. This experience has significantly contributed to Chips’ success, which was further validated when he earned the notoriously difficult CSP Designation from the National Speakers Association. A talented international Speaker, Chip also earned the same designation from the International Federation for Professional Speakers.
