Chante Joseph is a writer, journalist and digital content producer best known as the Host of the Guardian’s Pop Culture Podcast. She is also a highly articulate public speaker and a popular panel host, whose work is multifaceted, ranging from celebrity interviews and first-person reportage to cultural commentary. As an accomplished digital content producer, Chante has collaborated with leading brands, including Bumble, Adidas, Spotify, and YouTube.
Since her school and college days, Chante has been gaining valuable experience at prominent institutions and organisations, including the House of Commons, Channel 5, and The British Youth Council. Whilst still a student at the University of Bristol, she held multiple roles at the Bank of England, worked as a Fashion Coordinator with Exquiss London, became a Delegate at the Powerlist Foundation, re-joined The British Youth Council, and held positions with Tea Huggers, Google, and The BBC. Chante also Founded Bristol is The New Black and was Chair of Bristol Labour Students, and that’s all before she graduated with a degree in Social Policy in 2018!
After completing her studies, Chante joined eBay as an intern and then held positions with publications, such as Hearst Magazines, VICE, The Uni Bubble and The Guardian. Moreover, she regularly contributes to Gal-Dem, Complex, The i Paper and Huffington Post. For her debut cover story for Wonderland Magazine, Chante interviewed Beyonce’s very own Chloe and Halle. In addition to her accomplished written work, Chante has presented Channel 4’s How Not To Be Racist and House of Horoscopes. She also hosted the four-part podcast, My Public Me – A User’s Guide, which closely resembles the critically acclaimed I Hate Suzie series.
At Present, Chante is working on her first book, A Quick Ting On: The Black British Power Movement, which is set to be published in 2023. An incredibly talented, high-performing individual, Chante is a star on the rise. She is a leading content creator working across multiple industries and has collaborated with prestigious organisations, making her an inspirational role model for many. She is also an accomplished public speaker and panel host who is now available to hire for corporate events.
