The Lewis & Virginia Eaton Professor of Psychology at Stanford University she teaches courses on developmental psychology and self-theories. Having obtained a BA in Psychology from Columbia University and a PhD in Psychology from Yale University, Carol began her career in academia. Her first role was as Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Illinois, after which she became Professor of Human Development at Harvard University.
After teaching at Columbia University for nearly 15 years, Carol assumed responsibility as Lewis and Virginia Eaton Professor of Psychology at Stanford University.
