Andrew Grill is a highly respected figure in the field of futurism, renowned for his expertise in how AI, blockchain, crypto and emerging technologies will impact the future. The former Global Managing Partner of IBM, Andrew promotes the belief that “the future is digital” and has already positively influenced businesses throughout his more than 30-year career. A career built on the foundations of a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering and two Master's Degrees, Andrew's expertise stems from a combination of academic study and hands-on industry experience. His first major role was as a Communications Systems Engineer for British Aerospace, before progressing to roles such as National Manager of Business Development for Telstra and Head of Business Development at Gigafone Technologies. Having also worked as teh CEO of PropertyLook and Kred, along with being the Head of International Business Development for Visible Technologies, Andrew has used his business acumen to help clients such as ITV, BBC and eBay.
In 2013, Andrew joined as the Global Partner of Social Business for IBM, before being promoted to Global Managing Partner in 2015. Under his careful watch, Andrew was able to secure an estimated $100M of sales for IBM, proving his credibility as a businessman. Since leaving IBM, Andrew has dedicated his work to studying and predicting the future, having become the Founder of The Actionable Futurist Blog and the Host of The Actionable Futurist Podcast. Aside from such commitments, Andrew has also been a Senior Advisor for Namier Capital Partners and was recently appointed as the Non-Executive Director of the Britain-Australia Society. In early 2024, Andrew is also set to share his story as he becomes the author of Digitally Curious.
