Anahita Kalsy is a pioneering model, diversity and inclusion advocate and mental health speaker. She currently serves as the Well-being Lead at the Rugby Portobello Trust, where she empowers young people through trauma-informed support, early intervention and holistic well-being programmes. Passionate about challenging traditional beauty standards, Anahita uses her own experience with congenital fibrosis to redefine representation and encourage audiences to embrace their authenticity and self-expression. Anahita's early career featured several key roles within the charity sector. In 2020, she was the Project Lead for The Sanshil Foundation, where she provided emotional support to twenty underprivileged girls. She later fundraised for Save the Children India and undertook an internship at Tulasi Healthcare, where she learned more about various mental health conditions. In 2022, she was a befriender for LINK Befriending: The Mental Health Adolescent Project UK and worked with young people struggling with mental health issues through regular 1-1 sessions. Staying involved in mental health initiatives, she was both a Research Assistant for Miricyl and an Education and Outreach Officer for Make Time Count LTD in 2023. After spending time as a Mental Health Coach for Yes Futures, she joined The Portobello Trust, where she is a Well-being Lead.
Through her extensive experience in media and broadcasting, Anahita has developed a clear and practical approach to communication. Whilst studying, Anahita started her own radio show on STAR at St Andrews Radio, where she invited fellow students to talk about mental health. A safe space for all, the show went on to win Best Independent Show of the Year 2022/23. In 2023, Anahita delivered a standout talk for TEDx and the University of St Andrews on 'Turning Your Biggest Insecurity Into Your Biggest Strength'. By normalising mental health, Anahita empowered audiences with action-oriented strategies. In 2026, she shared her story of self-love and acceptance with a feature in the Hindustan Times.
