Anabel Gonzalez Campabadal

Anabel Gonzalez Campabadal is an expert of economic development and macroeconomics, who has impacted the development of Costa Rica and works as the Vice President of the Inter-America Development Bank. She has formerly acted as the Minister of Foreign Trade for Costa Rica and the President of the Export Promotion Board, a leading figure of the Competitiveness and Innovation Council. During her time as Minister of Foreign Trade, Anabel was instrumental in the introduction of six free trade agreements and around 140 projects of foreign investment.

Since working as Senior Director of the World Bank’s Global Practice on Trade and Competitiveness Anabel has also served as Senior Advisor at BCG and Deputy Director General at the World Trade Organisation. She has also performed work as a member of the World Economic Forum Council for Trade and Foreign Investment, sat on various advisory boards and acted as a Senior Fellow of the Peterson Institute for International Economics.
