British archer and after dinner speaker Allison Williamson, has represented her country on no less than four occasions, garnering two silver medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Now working as a sports speaker, Allison is one of the most successful British archers of recent years and has taken part in three Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the Women’s Individual Archery at Athens in 2004. Alongside her Team GB team mates and fellow Olympic speakers Naomi Folkard and Charlotte Burgess, Allison competed against the French Olympic team in 2008, narrowly losing out on a second bronze medal.
Her biggest achievement remains the two silver medals won at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and, in her capacity as an Olympic speaker, she often reminisces fondly on this time, despite the intense and exhausting training she endured in order to secure her success. Further recognising her success, Allison was awarded an MBE for her services to archery and work as an Olympic speaker as part of the 2012 Birthday Honours. Allison travels across the UK working as a sports speaker, she is available for corporate and private after dinner speaking events as well as working to promote sport and archery at youth and sports centre events.
