The Great British Bake Off contestant Alice Fevronia has captured the hearts of the British general public. Starring on the tenth series of Channel 4 programme The Great British Bake Off, Alice placed in the top three gaining herself a place in the esteemed Bake Off final. Competing against David Atherton and Steph Blackwell, Alice narrowly missed out on the winning position. Alice wowed the judges with her talent, passion and delicate hand for baking, qualities that equally placed her as a favourite among the public too.
Before her time in the TV limelight, Alice was a Geography teacher in London. Alice combined her talent for both teaching and baking by using her bakes during her lessons. Demonstrating everything from coastal erosion to volcanic activity with her bakes, Alice enriched her students in the most unique way.
Alice first developed her passion for baking at a young age. When she was just 15 years old she had an operation for scoliosis, and whilst she was recovering she took up baking. Baking took over from a strong passion for sport, and she hasn’t looked back since. Alice’s speciality lies with highly decorative layered cakes, with which her intricate and delicate baking style comes in handy. Her Instagram account boasts a number of glamorous shots of globe-trotting and exotic holidays, which gathered her the attention of 1420 followers. Since appearing on the Great British Bake Off that following has soared to an impressive 101k followers.
Alice’s long-running passion for baking was inspired by her grandmother who was a prolific baker herself. From a young age, Alice saw her grandmother baking and wanted to follow in her footsteps. Creativity has been a keen passion of Alice’s since a young age and she had wanted to feature on The Great British Bake Off ever since the show started. When she finally appeared on the show it was a dream come true for Alice, ultimately giving her confidence and the feeling that she really could bake well. Alice’s passion and commitment to baking is commendable. She loves sharing her talent for baking with all around her, giving her reputable qualities for event hosting.
