Alex Corbisiero is a retired rugby player, who was fortunate to represent both club and national rugby teams. Having played rugby from a young age, Alex built expert knowledge of the sport on the pitch, and later pitch-side knowledge as a sports analyst. Now booked as a speaker for corporate events, Alex is booked to cover the tales of his professional rugby career and what it takes to succeed in elite sport.
Best known for his talents as a rugby player, Alex is widely known for the time that he spent as a loosehead prop for Northampton Saints and London Irish. Making his debut in the sport in a match against London Wasps, the 2008 London Double Header, Alex was also fortunate to represent the Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 England levels. He made his senior debut in 2011 and later went on to play for England in the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Alex also played a pivotal role in the victories at the 2012 Six Nation Championships and helped the Northampton Saints to claim victory over the Saracens to win a Premiership final in 2014.
Finding love for rugby at a young age, Alex first began playing the sport during his studies at ACS Cobham International School. As captain of the Cougars school team, Alex learnt the inner workings of the game and developed his skills. Alex was later fortunate to join the London Irish Academy to further train and develop his performance on the pitch. His talents were rewarded with his professional debut in 2008, proving his worth as a player. Unfortunately, Alex’s playing career was plagued by injury, and he was forced to retire from the sport in 2016.
Since retiring from the pitch, Alex has dedicated his time to working as a sports analyst for NBC Sports. During his time with NBC Sports, Alex has covered a variety of top matches including the Aviva Premiership to name but a few. He has also worked as the Director of ASM Sports Group providing placement for sports scholarships in American Universities and as the Director of Team Corbs. As the Director of Team Corbs, Alex has been working in USA College and Pro Rugby recruitment as well as coaching scrums and brand ambassadorship. Alex has also unfortunately been diagnosed with Testicular Cancer and is speaking out about his battle.
Having enjoyed a career both on and off the pitch, Alex is now becoming a popular choice as a speaker for a range of corporate and public events. Having helped his team to victory on several occasions, Alex is able to share stories about his successes and the drive and determination that it took to achieve such victories. He is also able to share his experiences as an analyst in the sport, combining his unique knowledge of both on-pitch and off-pitch knowledge. When looking for a rugby speaker, Alex Corbisiero is the perfect choice for a range of events.
