British actor and soap opera star Alan Halsall, is probably most well-known for his long-running role as Tyrone Dobbs on ITV’s Coronation Street. Prior to securing his role in Coronation Street Alan Halsall appeared as an actor in a number of other high profile British television series including Heartbeat and Queer as Folk. Joining the Street back in 1998 Tyrone has become one of the most easily recognisable actors on British television, notably remembered for his various and tumultuous relationships including those with violent abuser Kirsty and heart breaker Molly.
In more recent years Alan has gained awards for both own work and the on-screen chemistry with fellow Corrie actor Jennie McAlphine at the British Soap Opera Awards. The longevity and popularity of Alan’s character is a testament to his abilities as an actor and to date he remains a regular member of the Coronation Street cast.
