Adam Woodyatt is a leading British actor, famed for playing Ian Beale in EastEnders for 36 years. First beginning his acting career aged 13, Adam starred in On The Razzle at the National Theatre, impressing with his skill and later cast in The Baker Street Boys on the BBC. After putting his acting career on pause for a period of time, Adam was cast to join EastEnders in 1985. Since then, he has appeared in thousands of episodes, with his EastEnders career spanning 36 years before he left the square in 2021. In reward of his commitment to the soap, Adam was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the British Soap Awards in 2013.

Also named as the British Soap Awards Best On-Screen Partnership 2015 and British Soap Awards Best Actor 2015, Adam has been invited to star as a guest on various TV programmes. He has starred as Patrick on The Bill, as Dave on The Witches and the Grinnygog and appeared on shows such as Ready Steady Cook, The Weakest Link, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, Robot Wars and Would I Lie To You to name but a few. Most recently, in 2021, Adam starred on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, finishing the competition in sixth place.
