Futurist, technical innovator, artificial intelligence expert and serial entrepreneur, Jerry Kaplan is a Fellow at the Centre for Legal Informatics and an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University Law School.
Throughout his entrepreneurial career, Jerry has been responsible for the founding of many companies, including GO Corporation, Teknowledge and Onsale, Inc. His companies have shaped the technology world, particularly in the areas of tablet computing and artificial intelligence. He was the CEO of Winster.com, a company which he founded in 2004 with the aim of creating an emerging market for social games, until 2012.
The author of three books, Jerry has published Startup: A Silicon valley Adventure, Humans Need Not Apply: A Guide to Wealth and Work in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence: What Everyone Needs to know.
Among his awards and accolades, Jerry received the 1998 Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award, he has served on the Governor’s Electronic Commerce Advisory Council and received an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration from California International Business University.
