The former CEO and co-owner of Mercedes F1, and its current Commercial Advisor, Nick Fry is an established keynote speaker with a humorous, anecdotal style. Nick Fry was also responsible for leading the Mercedes team to its first F1 victory and subsequent World Championships. To achieve this, Fry re-structured the team, transitioning them through ownership by British American Tobacco, Honda and a management buyout, and eventually selling them to Mercedes and the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund in 2010. Since then, he secured the services of Lewis Hamilton in lieu of Michael Schumacher to partner Nico Rosberg in the team’s pursuit of the 2013 World Championship.
Previously, Nick Fry has worked for Ford Motor Company in the UK, Detroit and Germany. This was followed by a period as MD of Aston Martin, during which he modernised the bespoke British car manufacturer to the brand that is now synonymous with quality and high performance, before joining Prodrive in 2001 to lead their expansion into engineering services and winning World Rally & Sports Car Championships.
In 2010, Nick was appointed a UK Business Ambassador by the UK Government, and he promotes UK business expertise in Performance Engineering.
