West Indies Cricket Captain

West Indian cricket legend Clive Lloyd CBE is a retired player who now works as a sports speaker and coach both in the UK and in his home country.

Playing for British side Lancaster for almost twenty years Lloyd was popular both at home and abroad, he continues to work in the UK as a cricket speaker and has attended a number of Lancaster cricket club after dinner speaker events.

Whilst playing for Lancaster Clive Lloyd CBE also played for Guyana on a domestic level, serving with them from 1964 until 1983. Lloyd’s work as a cricket speaker covers his time at both teams and, thanks to his long-standing relationship with both teams, is able to speak in detail about the dynamics of each club individually.

As well as working as a cricket speaker for his domestic clubs Clive Lloyd is available as a sports speaker for his national team, the West Indies cricket team, with whom he played for 12 years and garnered an impressive 125 caps. The first player to reach 100 international caps for the country Clive Lloyd captained the West Indies to three world cup tournaments winning in 1975 and ’79.

Since retiring in the mid 1980’s Clive Lloyd has worked as an after dinner speaker, cricket manager, coach and commentator in both the UK and in Guyana.
