Samit Patel

Samit Patel is an English cricketer who plays for Nottinghamshire CCC. He has represented England in over 40 different matches since making his debut in 2008. Playing for Notts throughout his domestic career, Patel has shown extreme loyalty and dedication throughout his career and continues to be a fans favourite. As well as playing for Notts, Patel has played for a number of franchise teams across the world where he has had to show outstanding adaptability to different environments, teams and conditions. Playing for different teams across the world has meant Patel has spent a lot of his career dealing with pressure, he has played in lots of finals and showed calmness throughout.

Making his England debut in 2008 in a One Day International against Scotland, Patel enjoyed a successful career with England but as he has got older, his services have been required less frequently. Overall, he played in six test matches for England and 36 One Day Internationals. He took 31 wickets and scored over 600 runs for England in both formats combines. Now spending a lot of his spare time as a cricket speaker, Patel often discusses his international career and what it meant to represent his country on the biggest stage. Joining Notts in 2002, Patel has played there for his whole domestic career. He spent part of the 2019 season on loan at Glamorgan but still remains a Notts player.
