Shannon Briggs, known as “The Cannon”, is a former WBO Heavyweight Champion with an overall career boxing record of 57-6, with 50 of his wins coming by knockout.

Briggs is a Brooklyn, New York native and began boxing at the age of 17. At a young age Briggs showed uncanny talent and skill in the ring and gained national acclaim when he won the New York City Golden Gloves championship, New York State Championship and National P.A.L Championship.

In 1991 he placed second at the Pan-American Games in the Heavyweight division and put his name on the map. The following year he turned pro and went on to win his first 25 fights from 1992 to 1996.

As decorated a fighter as they come, Briggs is also a former WBC FecarBox Heavyweight Champion and WBC Latino Heavyweight Champion. In 2010 he took a brief respite from the ring but returned in 2014 with a vengeance, winning all six of his fights with five knockouts, and capturing the NABA Heavyweight Title in the process.

Briggs is now back and ready to resume his career as one of  the best heavyweights in boxing. A vicious puncher with knockout power in both hands, he is ready to go through the elite of the heavyweight division showing no mercy to reclaim what he believes is rightfully his – the  world heavyweight championship.
