Over the course of his career Yusuf has made many notable achievements. In 2006, he set a new world record in the 25m centre-fire pistol event at the CISM Military World Championships. Later in 2012 Yusuf won bronze in the 10-meter air pistol event at the ISSF World Cup Final in Bangkok. After taking part in the European Shooting Championships, Yusuf won double gold medals in 25m standard pistol and 25m centre-fire pistol. More recently, Yusuf competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics and won a silver medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event. It was within this vent that Yusuf went viral on social media and became Turkey’s oldest Olympic Medallist, making him a credible and inspirational figure within the sporting world.
