Key member of the 2003 Australia Rugby World Cup winning side, Will Greenwood has enjoyed 11 years of professional success at the forefront of England rugby. With 55 international caps to his name, he is widely considered to be one of the country’s greatest rugby players in the history of the sport. He is the second highest international try scoring centre ever, a testament to Will’s strength, spirit and determined character.
Including the Leicester Tigers, Harlequins and England’s national team, Will is credited for a string of national and international success – the stories from which he retells as an after dinner speaker. A speaker like Will resonates with audiences, teaching them the mindset needed to thrive in their own industries. His outstanding achievements are showcased onstage, as both an enlightening keynote speaker and inspiring motivational speaker. With key themes including leadership and change management, Will is the perfect speaker for a wealth of events.
As a centre, Will played for the Preston Grasshoppers from 1988 to 1990, before moving to Waterloo R.F.C until 1994. Later embarking on his senior career, he spent eight years with the Harlequins and four years with the Leicester Tigers, earning over 400 total points. From 1997 to 2004, Will played for England’s national team, and made three appearances with the British and Irish Lions, in 1997, 2001 and 2005. On the international stage, he made 57 appearances, gained 155 points, and was a Vice Captain during the 2004 Six Nations Championship.
Since his retirement, Will went on to work as an analyst on Sky Sports, co-present the School of Hard Knocks, and write for the Daily Mail. He also co-founded the SuperSkills Experiences, a travel and events company, and appeared on the World Rugby women's-15s player-of-the-year award debut panel. Born into a rugby legacy, Will has since become the go-to rugby speaker, brand ambassador and business expert for events and campaigns alike, booked to connect with audiences of all ages.
Will’s speeches combine business and sport, two popular topics on the speaking circuit. His extensive knowledge of both subjects, driven by his first-hand experiences, teaches managers the secrets to high-performance teams. Will takes audiences from good to great, and supplies them with strategies for not just achieving peak performance, but maintaining it in the face of professional hurdles.
