Victoria Humphries

Victoria Humphries has made headlines for her feats of determination and bravery as a polar adventurer, having broken three Guinness World records and enjoyed a highly successful career in the process. Outside of polar exploration, Victoria is also an author, a marathon runner and a knowledgeable Operations Director, whose experience extends to a leading EdTech online content provider. Today, Victoria is a popular choice as a speaker for a range of events, booked to cover topics such as overcoming adversity, women in business and self-belief.

Best known as an Operations Director, Victoria was highly successful as the former Head of Teachit (Sandbox Learning Limited). For 13 years, Victoria worked several roles with Teachit, growing the business and generating its reputation for high quality educational digital resources. She is also known for being a polar adventurer, who set a Guinness World Record as a member of the first all-female expedition to the North Pole. Victoria is also well known as the owner of Anything is Possible, where she spreads her message of how we live in a non-linear world and preparing for change, and as the author of Frigid Women.

Before forging her successful career, Victoria studied Politics at the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Education at Oxford Brookes University. After her years of study, Victoria entered the working world as a graduate trainee for Marks & Spencer and a recruitment consultant for Angela Mortimer. After the North Pole expedition she began her work in education as a regular supply teacher for a variety of primary schools. She later became a Governor of St Mary’s School Wantage and Heathfield School. She has also been a Board Member of The Prince’s Trust and the British Educational Suppliers Association.

In celebration of turning 50, Victoria is also on a mission to complete 50 different challenges which epitomise her sense of adventure, having already completed a swim in her freezing pond, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, and learnt to paddleboard.

Victoria has since become a popular addition as a speaker for a range of corporate events. Avoiding corporate jargon, Victoria carries with her a simple message- anything is possible when you put your mind to it.
