Vallisa Chauhan is a radio and TV presenter, broadcaster, event host and producer, currently serving as a radio presenter at BBC Asia Network. With over a decade of experience in live media, visual storytelling, and editorial planning, Vallisa understands how to get an audience engaged and deliver a message that resonates, bringing infectious energy, a proactive nature and a passion for sharing impactful narratives.
Beginning her career as a presenter and producer at Buzz Air Radio, she established strong foundations in live presenting and public speaking, which would go on to bolster her in later roles. After nearly three years, she established Malaika Films, through which she scripted and produced her first feature film, ‘These 4 Walls’. Vallisa showed the film at the London Asian Film Festival to much acclaim, strengthening her position as a creative leader. In 2012, she became a presenter and producer of a magazine show for Sunrise TV, furthering her live media skills, serving as a Bollywood and travel writer for Anokhi Magazine during the same period. She held similar roles through a variety of companies, such as Sunrise TV, Sunrise Radio, and Lyca Radio. Since 2021, she has been a theatre actor in the stage show Mrs Kapoor’s Daughter’s Wedding, and has been a writer for Pukaar Magazine since 2023. In 2024, she joined the BBC as a radio presenter for the BBC Asian Network. As one of the network's only Gujarati presenters, Vallisa has developed a unique perspective on diversity, inclusion, culture and identity from her position.
With over 15 years in front of live media and storytelling, Vallisa has been featured across a range of media such as BizAsiaLive, the BBC, and Pukkar News. She has also been the recipient of several awards, including the SHE Award 2026 Inspirational Role Model and the Asian Media Awards 2023 Best Radio Show.
