Trevor Sinclair had a notable football career, primarily as a winger, playing from 1989 to 2008 across several clubs in England. His early career started at Blackpool, where he made history by becoming the club's youngest-ever player at 16 years old. Trevor then gained attention at Queens Park Rangers (QPR) between 1993 and 1998, where he scored a famous bicycle kick goal that won him the 1997 BBC Match of the Day Goal of the Season award.
He moved to West Ham United in 1998, where he spent five years, playing 177 league games and scoring 37 goals. His performances at West Ham earned him a spot in the England national team, with whom he won 12 caps between 2001 and 2003. Notably, he was a key player in the 2002 FIFA World Cup, stepping up after injuries to other players and earning praise for his work on England's left wing. 4 of his total 12 Caps came from when he played for England during the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
Trevor's next major move was to Manchester City in 2003. He played there for four seasons, scoring the first-ever competitive goal at the City of Manchester Stadium (now known as the Etihad Stadium). He finished his professional career at Cardiff City, where he was part of the squad that reached the 2008 FA Cup final. Over the course of his career, Trevor has displayed leadership and a passion for football – both of which make him one of the most sought-after keynote speakers today. He is able to share stories from his career that highlight the power of perseverance.
Throughout his career, Trevor played over 500 league matches, known for his versatility on the wings and occasional stints as a striker.
