Award-winning stand-up comedian, Tom Ward, is only new to the comedy circuit but is already taking it by a storm. A hit on the live circuit with his stories and observations that combine a sense of whimsical and deadpan to his performances.
With a quirky and laid back performance style, Tom's performances are extremely relatable as he talks about his appearance, frustrations with the minutiae of life and stories of his evangelical parents and managing a charity shop. This combined with his incredible skills as a voice-over artist which often include impressions of people and objects makes him an extremely popular entertainer.
Although still new to the comedy scene he has already reached the finals of almost every big name comedy competition around, and has been described by the Telegraph as 'a welcome curiosity'. He's supported Hal Cruttenden and Gary Delaney on tour, as well as being the voice over of many adverts and videos for the likes of Channel 5, Unicef, Mazda and Marvel.
2016 saw him perform his first ever solo show called Sex, Snails and Cassette Tapes, which he performed at Edinburgh Festival. That same year he featured on Comedy Central's Live at the Comedy Store and BBC Worldwide's Live From The BBC, both shows are extremely popular and widely watched. 2018 was a huge year for Tom's career and saw him become a recognisable face across television as he featured on Comedy Central's Roast Battle and Stand up Central. An in demand comedian, 2018 also lead to Tom becoming official tour support for Joe Lycett and performing his third show at Edinburgh Festival which received five star reviews all around.
As a fresh comedian he has already gained a huge amount of acknowledgement starting right back in 2013 when he became a finalist for the Leicester Square New Comedian award. The following year he became a finalist for two huge awards, BBC Radio New Comedy Award and the NATY Award and then in 2017 he became Chortle Best Newcomer winner.
