A passion born from holidays across Europe, Theo began his now illustrious career working as a Waiter at Chez Max in London. It was here that he spent four years training as an apprentice, learning the art of classical cooking and perfecting his skills in preparing French cuisine. In 1989, Theo had the opportunity to join The River Café, breaking for a year to work a secondment at Chez Panisse, before spending 15 years inspiring and influencing the most loved dishes at The River Café. For 10 of the 15 years, Theo was the Head Chef of The River Café, a time during which Theo led The River Café to achieve its first Michelin Star – often nicknamed the ‘unsung hero’ of The River Café.
In 2006, Theo opened Theo Randall at the InterContinental Hotel London Park Lane, at the prestigious address of No.1 Park Lane. Since then, Theo has been committed to delivering authentic Italian food to guests of the InterContinental Hotel, highly commended for his rustic produce-driven cuisine. When he is not producing delectable Italian dishes, Theo can regularly be found staring on national television – having formerly starred on BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen. In addition to his regular television appearances, Theo has released a variety of cookbooks on Italian cuisine – titles including The Italian Pantry, The Italian Deli Cookbook, My Simple Italian, Pasta and The ASK Italian Cookbook, and delivered a variety of seasonal masterclasses at his acclaimed Park Lane restaurant.
Having collaborated with Pizza Express to create four pizzas for their autumn menu and ASK Italian as their ‘expert friend’, Theo Randall is an acclaimed chef highly sought after for collaborations.
