Steve Nouri

Steve Nouri is an award-winning technical leader and one of the most revered data scientists of the current age. As the Founder of AI4Diversity, a non-profit global initiative, with over 4000 volunteers who educate and advise communities on how AI can benefit society, Steve is committed to sharing his expertise. Steve graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney, with a Master's in IT and Data Analytics and then became a Software Engineer in various technology companies. Proving his exceptional ability in the technology field, Steve then became the Head of Data Science for Nod, where he was responsible for the strategic direction and development of advanced analytics. Other roles included Head of Data Science for CSIRO’s Data61, Head of Data Science and AI for the Australian Computer Society, and postgraduate lecturer at the University of Technology. In 2021, Steve became the Global AI Ambassador and Advisor for Boab, with much of his work being conducted in Asia, he began his journey of educating others on ethical AI entrepreneurship.

Currently, Steve is the Co-founder and Chairperson for Hackmakers, where he is responsible for organising the UN World Innovation Day Hackathon, and is the Chief Executive Officer at Generative AI, leading the company on their mission to revolutionise AI education. Cementing himself as one of the leaders of AI, Steve has amassed over 1.5 million followers on LinkedIn, where he is constantly sharing quality educational material to enlighten budding data scientists. In recognition of his immense reach to millions, Steve was awarded one of LinkedIn’s Top Voices in Data Science for 2020 and ICT Professional of the Year Gold Disruptor by the Australian Computer Society in 2019.
