Her career began to sky-rocket during her time as the Head of Development and Partnerships at the University of Oxford where she led in raising $120m in research funds working alongside some of the best academics in the world. She then developed the Wired Magazine consulting business – a new revenue stream for the business - as the Director of Wired Consulting and Wired Education, she brought together experts in technology and natural sciences to help solve business problems for organisations.
Her experience has helped her in delivering talks to some of the most innovative companies in the world. Sophie has also held a role as the Director of Strategic Relations and is an Ambassador to the ground-breaking Singularity University in NASA’s research facility. During her time there Sophie worked with world-class experts to solve “exponential technologies” such as robotics, artificial intelligence, genetic sequencing and others, assessing the impact of these technologies on governments and businesses across the world.
