Scott Walker is a world-leading kidnap-for-ransom, extortion and crisis negotiator. Scott began his career as a Barrister’s Clerk in 1993 before becoming a Detective Inspector with the Metropolitan Police in 1999. In 2021, Scott founded his own Crisis Management and Negotiation Consultancy. In recent years, Scott has taken his expertise garnered over a successful career and turned his sights to the corporate world. In 2017, he achieved his Diploma in Executive Coaching from the Academy of Executive Coaching, and has since gained over 2500 client coaching hours. Now, as the Founder and Managing Director of Red Centre Global Ltd, he leads training for negotiation and conflict resolution, including how to negotiate better deals, make better decisions under pressure, and emotional resolution and persuasion.
In 2023, he published “Order Out of Chaos: A Kidnap Negotiator’s Guide to Influence and Persuasion”, which went on to become a Sunday Times Bestseller, and in 2025, he published his follow-up book “Eye of the Storm: How to Make Good Decisions in Bad Situations”. Scott has also been a guest on a number of podcasts, including Modern Wisdom with Chris Williamson and The Jordan Harbinger Show.
