Scarlett Allen-Horton

Scarlett Allen-Horton is a top-performing International Executive Search Recruiter, finalist of acclaimed BBC's The Apprentice, Business Partner to British business magnate Lord Sugar and founder of Harper Fox Search Partners, providing diverse executive search solutions for the global energy and engineering sectors. Scarlett is a devoted advocate of equality and is passionate about the elevation of senior female and ethnic minority talent within the business world. In December 2019 Scarlett became a finalist on the acclaimed BBC TV show 'The Apprentice', having recently set up Harper Fox Partners, this was a fantastic achievement and a great opportunity to raise awareness of Diversity and Inclusion within the STEM sectors. Since the series aired, many people from all backgrounds have reached out to Scarlett to thank her for shining a light on this issue - especially on such a large platform.

In June 2020, following on from Scarlett's exceptional performance on The Apprentice, business magnate Lord Sugar decided to invest in Harper Fox Partners and became a joint partner in the business. Lord Sugar commented: "I was very impressed with Scarlett throughout The Apprentice process and we stayed in touch afterwards. I liked Harper Fox Partners’ approach and their recruitment industry expertise, so it made sense to partner and strengthen the business offering further and I'm very happy that we have." Throughout 2020 Scarlett has frequently been involved with a number of webinars, interviews and workshops. These events provide a great learning opportunity for industry professionals as well as highlight EDI and recruitment best practices.

Some of the more notable events include a keynote speech at Women in Business Expo, Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, Solar & Storage Conference and Forward Ladies platform.  Scarlett has also done a tremendous amount of work with WE:ARE, a Birmingham based charity specialising in women’s domestic abuse awareness, empowerment and recovery education. Most notable is the work she has done in 2020, voluntarily hosting and speaking at a number of virtual industry events providing invaluable free advice surrounding talent acquisition and also Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI). 

Scarlett is also volunteering her time and resources to help plug the skills shortage in the STEM sectors. Providing keynote speeches for WMG Young Engineers Academy and founding The Harper Fox Alliance and The Harper Fox Pledge - initiatives which aim to inspire young people to forge careers within the STEM sectors. As well a supporting her professional community, Scarlet also works with domestic abuse charity WE:ARE. As a proud ambassador Scarlett regularly volunteers her time to run workshops to support women in need. Having had an inspirational personal journey as a young ethnic minority female from inner-city Birmingham, in heavily male-dominated environments, a young mother who has overcome very testing personal circumstances, she is determined to inspire through overcoming adversity. Scarlett's vision is to help others achieve.
