Award-winning businesswoman, Sarah Pittendrigh knows first-hand the qualities it takes to become a highly successful entrepreneur. From a struggling single mum to a thriving serial business owner, Sarah has strived through challenges and come out stronger on the other side, a journey which she discusses as an event speaker. Known for her achievements as a successful business mogul, Sarah has led numerous ventures, through challenging times with incredible results. In 2008 Sara identified a gap in the market, and having hit rock bottom in her personal life, had nothing to lose when she founded Simply Bows and Chair Covers. Within three years her brand became a six-figure business, that Sarah has now established 10 further franchises around the UK and was named Britain’s Most Promising Business 2012. Through her proven strategy, Sarah has gone on to create a multimillion-pound property portfolio transforming luxury barns. For her incredible success as an entrepreneur, Sarah has been awarded the Best Small Business by WIN in 2012 and named Daily Mail Natwest Everywoman Female Entrepreneur of the Year 2015.

No stranger to struggle, Sarah’s journey to the top has been fraught with difficulty. As a single mum, the business Sarah was a partner in crumbled due to the 2008 recession and she was left living on income support with a bleak future and bankruptcy. Knocked back again by a cancer diagnosis, Sarah was determined to change her own destiny. Through the adversity and hardship she faced, Sarah created a strategy for success which led her to found Simply Bows and Chair Covers, a testament to her resilience.

Most recently, Sarah has continued to lead her businesses but as she approached 50 found herself at another crossroads. With such an impressive industry reputation and evident success, She felt at a loss and compelled to do something where she could give back, share her hindsight and life and business experience to support other likeminded individuals through their challenges.  Formidable Over 40 is her bespoke 1 to 1 mentoring programme, supporting overwhelmed CEOs and Business owners, by offering them a confidential space to invest time in themselves with a fellow entrepreneur, to reflect on where they are now? why? reframe their goals and create a plan focussing on delivering their purpose.
