The title of UK World Chocolate Master currently sits with Ruth Hinks, the multi-award winner chocolatier and patisserie behind the renowned Cocoa Black. 2004 welcomed Ruth as the Australian Pastry Chef Of The Year, and from 2005-2007, she was employed in Edinburgh’s 5-Star Sheraton Grand Hotel as Head Pastry Chef. With an impressive career behind her, in 2008, Ruth introduced the world to Cocoa Black, her very own chocolatier and patisserie business, established in Peebles, Scotland.
Ruth made history in 2012, winning the UK Chocolate Masters, and becoming the first female qualifier for the World Finals in Paris in 2013.
