Ruby’s early career was shaped by a deep passion for theatre and performance. Having trained in theatre, she developed strong skills in acting, singing and storytelling, which became the foundation of her professional journey. Growing up as an autistic ambulatory wheelchair user, Ruby’s lived experience played a significant role in shaping her perspective and creative voice. She began her career within theatre, working on inclusive projects and developing her confidence as a performer, before expanding into content creation. This shift allowed Ruby to share her experiences more widely, connecting with audiences who related to her honest and open storytelling, while also building a platform centred on representation and visibility.

Her performance work includes appearing in the original and Southampton cast of ‘Derren Brown’s Showman’, highlighting her theatrical talent alongside her advocacy work. Ruby has also collaborated with CoppaFeel! as a case study, following her personal experience with fibroadenomas, using her platform to raise awareness of health issues affecting young people.
