Roy Madron

Roy Madron is a leading researcher, management consultant and author who is currently designing and facilitating the 21st Century Leadership Programme at the University of Industry. Having researched how leaders are able to achieve exceptional results, Roy is now a popular choice as a public speaker for events, sharing his expertise on leadership, strategy and planning.

For 15 years, Roy worked as a TV reporter and producer before becoming a Research Fellow at the Manchester Business School. During his time as a Research Fellow, Roy conducted long-term studies into participation strategies and improving the performance of social and business systems. Building on that research, Roy has since founded Super-Competencies Ltd and Super-Smart Democracies and is an industry leader in systems improvement and participatory planning. Roy has also shared his expertise as a consultant for local governments and public services.

Outside of his consultancy on leadership development, participative planning, systems change projects and customer care, Roy has also co-authored Gaian Democracies: Redefining Globalisation and People-Power. In this book, Roy takes readers on a journey of alternative systems of globalisation, setting out a new theory of democracy and how we can create a sustainable future. He has also co-founded Cycling for Softies, an award-winning travel business – winning the 1985 BBC Enterprise Award. Roy is also an Honorary Fellow of the Asian Foresight Institute and works with a variety of multi-national companies, NGOs, regulatory bodies and councils.
