Richard Browning is a British inventor, entrepreneur, and speaker. He is the founder, CEO, and Chief Test Pilot of Gravity Industries, which aims to reimagine the future of manned flight. With the launch of this groundbreaking invention, he set a Guinness World Record (twice) for the Fastest Speed in a Body-controlled Jet Engine Powered Suit, reaching speeds of 85 mph, breaking his previous record of 32 mph.
Previously a commodity trader for BP, Richard championed multiple entrepreneurial feats, including an astonishing $500m cargo tracking platform, for which he won the BP Group Innovation Award. In 2017, Richard built Gravity's prototype flight suit. He tested and redeveloped for a year before launching the business, the suit taking fifteen months to build. Richard is a STEM advocate and former Royal Marine Reservist, and his groundbreaking innovation has enabled over two billion people to experience the flights.
He has flown in his invention for multiple broadcasters and publications, including Sky News, BBC's The One Show, and Wired, as well as at live events like TED's annual conference in Vancouver, TEDx Glasgow, Berlin's CUBE Connects, and Red Bull.
