Early in his career, he joined Cisco Systems as an HR Manager for the Americas Sales Organisation, where he supported operations across Canada and Latin America. These formative years gave him a deep understanding of cross-cultural management, talent strategy and organisational growth.
Throughout his career, Rey has held numerous senior leadership positions that highlight his expertise and impact. At Cognizant Technology Solutions, he served as Senior Director HR Business Partner, leading the company’s largest acquisition in 2014, the US $2.4 billion Trizetto deal involving 3,600 employees across the United States and India. Prior to that, he was Director HR Acquisitions and Worldwide Sales at BMC Software, where he led global M&A strategy and integration, and Director HR Business Partner Americas at Cable and Wireless Communications, overseeing the relocation of the company’s headquarters from London to Coral Gables for a US $2 billion pan-American operation. His consulting experience also includes senior roles with Deloitte Consulting, Electronic Arts and Francisco Partners, where he managed large-scale change initiatives and workforce transitions.
