Paddy McGuinness is one of the UK’s best-loved entertainers, known for hosting hit shows including ‘Take Me Out’ and ‘Top Gear’. Having built his inspirational career using relatable humour and charisma, Paddy has become a household name throughout television and presenting. A two-time nominee for the National Television Awards, he has the unique ability to leave every audience energised and encouraged to face challenges with both confidence and humour.
Paddy made his first TV debut in 1995 as a contestant on ‘God’s Gift’; however, his rise to prominence began in 2000, when he appeared in ‘That Peter Kay Thing’. From there, he became one half of ‘Max & Paddy’ in Peter Kay’s ‘Phoenix Nights’. Despite his growing popularity, it was not until Peter Kay convinced him to leave his career as a fitness instructor that Paddy committed to show business. The popularity of ‘Phoenix Night’ saw the pair take a country-wide road trip in a spin-off show, which sparked Paddy’s sell-out stand-up tours in 2005.
Since his rise to stardom, Paddy has presented numerous shows from ‘Paddy’s Show & Telly’, ‘Tempting Fortune’ and ‘Question of Sport’. Additionally, he is a frequent guest on television with appearances on ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’, ‘The Jonathon Ross Show’ and frequently on ITV’s ‘Celebrity Juice’, leading to a comedy partnership with Leigh Francis, otherwise known as Keith Lemon. Paddy has also been at the forefront of documentaries with ‘Paddy McGuinness: Our Family and Autism’ in 2021, speaking openly as a parent to three children with autism, and ‘Paddy: The Ride of My Life’ in 2024.
Paddy has continued to share his inspirational career with his autobiography ‘My Lifey’ published in 2021, which has gained over 800 five-star Amazon reviews. He draws on his life experience and personal journey to connect with every audience. As a well-known presenter for ITV, Channel 4 and the BBC, and a regular guest on TV and radio throughout the UK, Paddy’s mixture of professional success and authenticity makes him both motivating and relatable. From delivering light-hearted, humorous keynotes to tackling the depth of more serious topics, Paddy inspires every audience to face challenges with resilience and positivity.
