Natasha Jonas is a ground-breaking British professional boxer, keynote speaker and inspirational role model, renowned for making history as the first-ever British female boxer to qualify for the Olympic Games. As a two-weight world champion and an MBE recipient in the 2025 King’s Honours List, Natasha captivates audiences with her powerful journey of resilience, determination and barrier-breaking success in elite sport. Her dynamic speaking engagements inspire individuals and organisations alike, offering a unique insight into the mindset required to succeed against the odds.
Before stepping into the boxing ring, Natasha initially pursued her passion for football. She earned a scholarship at St. Peter’s College in the United States, where she played competitively until an unfortunate injury brought her football aspirations to an end. Returning to the UK, she studied media studies at Edge Hill University and later worked for Liverpool City Council. It was in 2005 that Natasha discovered boxing, a sport in which she quickly excelled. By 2010, she had claimed five ABA Championships in the 64kg division while competing for Liverpool’s Rotunda ABC. In 2009, Natasha became the first female boxer to represent GB Boxing, and in the same year, she secured gold at the Women’s European Union Amateur Boxing Championships. This was followed by another gold at the inaugural GB Amateur Boxing Championships in 2010.
Natasha’s amateur career culminated in her qualifying for the London 2012 Olympic Games, where she reached the quarter-finals and etched her name into British sporting history. Turning professional in 2017, Natasha's ascent continued as she captured her first world title by winning the WBO female super-welterweight championship in 2022. Later that year, she unified the division by claiming the WBC, IBF and The Ring female light-middleweight titles. Her exceptional year was recognised when she was named the British Boxing Board of Control's British Boxer of the Year in 2022, the first woman ever to receive this honour. In 2023, Natasha achieved another milestone, becoming a two-weight world champion by securing the IBF female welterweight title, before unifying it with the WBC female welterweight title in 2024. In 2023, she further broke barriers by becoming the first black woman to receive a manager’s licence from the British Boxing Board of Control.
Audiences are consistently inspired by Natasha’s unwavering determination, adaptability, and leadership both inside and outside the ring. As a keynote speaker, she draws on her remarkable career to speak on themes such as overcoming adversity, mental toughness, peak performance, and women’s empowerment. Natasha’s story is not only one of athletic excellence but also a shining example of resilience, making her an exceptional choice for conferences, corporate events, and leadership seminars where audiences seek authentic and inspiring voices.
