Namya Joshi is a prodigious Minecraft Student Ambassador at Microsoft, who lives her life upholding the motto – ‘each one teach ten’. At the mere age of 16, Namya has achieved numerous significant accolades including the Pradhanmantri Rashtriya Bal Puruskar (National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement) – an incredible feat.
Currently completing her high school education, Namya also worked on the Advisory Board for HundrEDorg, where her key responsibilities include reviewing the educational practices and solutions around the world on Gamified Curricula. She has also served as HundrEDorg’s Youth Ambassador in the past. Namya is also a Young Member of the New York Academy of Sciences, serving as one of its many diverse members who solve key problems involved in STEM fields.
A Youth Facilitator Ambassador at The Goals Project, Board Member at The Clippers Child Council of India and Global Impactor at Digital Citizenship Institute, there is little that Namya hasn’t already achieved. She is also the Founder and Lead of #EachOneTeachTen podcast club, a platform through which she is inspiring her peers to learn more about STEM.
A TEDx speaker too, Namya has delivered the TEDx talks “Breaking the Ceiling” and “Why Shouldn’t Girl Have All the Fun”. She now offers free coding workshops for teachers and young people, especially girls, in India and all over the world. Namya is also determined to raise awareness about a myriad of social issues through game-based learning.
