Moona Ederveen is a global cybersecurity strategist and Principal Consultant at the Information Security Forum (ISF). With more than twenty years shaping resilience strategies for leading banks and organisations, she is recognised for her leadership as Executive Director EMEA at FS-ISAC, where she strengthened global collaboration among financial institutions protecting over $100 trillion worldwide. Moona brings a rare blend of technical depth and human insight to the stage, inspiring action through her expertise in post-quantum preparedness, AI security, and inclusive leadership. She has been a standout voice at international events such as Gartner Security and Risk Management Summit and DTX Cyber Leaders Summit.
Moona’s path into cybersecurity began early. At sixteen, she attended her first international security conference and was immediately drawn to the challenge of securing technology for the future. She graduated cum laude from the University of Amsterdam, where her department-prize-winning thesis on software manuals was later published by Wolters Kluwer. These formative experiences cemented her passion for bridging communication and technology and taught her to explain complex systems in simple, human terms - a skill that continues to define her talks today.
Throughout her career, Moona has worked at the intersection of security, intelligence, and resilience. She held senior roles at Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan Chase, UBS, Nomura, and ABN Amro, leading high-impact cyber and risk management programmes. As Executive Director EMEA at FS-ISAC, she served as the organisation’s ambassador to central banks, governments, and law enforcement across 75 countries, building trusted networks for intelligence sharing and operational resilience. Today, as Principal Consultant at the Information Security Forum, she advises global enterprises on quantum security and AI risk. She also founded Resilia Connect, a consultancy helping businesses strengthen cross-sector resilience, and serves on the advisory boards of Cyber London and the Cyber Resilience Centre for London.
Moona speaks with conviction about post-quantum cryptography, AI risk, and organisational preparedness, showing how leaders can act now to protect their data and people. Her sessions help boards and executives understand both the urgency and opportunity of technological change. By connecting cybersecurity to real-world impact, she motivates audiences to lead with foresight and responsibility.
