Dr. Mike Loosemore

Medical expert and Olympic speaker Dr Mike Loosemore is a qualified doctor who has specialised in sports medicine for almost twenty years; working closely with some of Britain’s most accomplished athletes as well as contributing to a variety of sports and exercise based research projects Dr Loosemore is also an active after dinner speaker and has worked extensively to encourage and develop the next generation of sporting doctors and therapists.

Currently employed by University College Hospital Dr Mike Loosemore is one the leading experts in sports medicine in the world, he has worked as a sports speaker and medical doctor for the British Commonwealth and Olympic teams and is currently the resident doctor for the British Bobsleigh, Boxing and Fencing Teams.

During his career he has worked alongside some of the most famous sports persons, Olympic speakers and athletes in the UK and has contributed to some of the biggest advancements to be made in sports medicine in recent years.

As well as working as a sports speaker promoting the importance of exercise to healthy living Dr Mike Loosemore has also contributed to a variety of projects and sporting events not to mention publishing countless papers and even appearing as an Olympic speaker on television and in print journalism commenting on current sporting and exercise trends or sporting injuries.

Dr Loosemore is also currently leading the Exercise in Medicine task force in the UK and is the chairman of the sport and exercise medicine specialist training committee and can often be found at fundraising and awareness events or as an after dinner speaker at political and healthcare functions.
