Michelle Ogundehin is a writer, author, brand consultant and TV presenter. Named as Interiors Guru by The Sunday Times, Michelle is considered an international authority and can speak articulately about interiors, trends, well-being, and style.
Beginning her career as an Architect, Michelle gained her bachelor’s from the prestigious Bartlett School UCL London. Holding the long-standing belief that environments are fundamental to wellbeing, Michelle combined her passion for magazines and her architectural background, starting her publishing career working for Tate Art Magazine under Tim Marlow.
Proving herself very capable, Michelle was headhunted to work for ELLE magazine. During her 13 year tenure, as Editor in Chief of ELLE Decoration UK, the magazine achieved record revenues and the highest circulation rate. Michelle frequently won the acclaimed Consumer Lifestyle Magazine of the year award and Consumer Editor of the year. She was also responsible for launching ELLE’S decoration style consultancy for commercial property developers.
After leaving ELLE, Michelle founded MO Studio Ltd, consulting for high profile clients, including Affordable Art Fair, Arteriors, Calligaris, De Longhi, Geberit, IKEA, Magnet, SilentNight and Microsoft.
Michelle has held several distinguished roles, such as the Trustee of the Victoria & Albert Museum, Board of Trustees of the Design Museum, contributing Editor to The Financial Times: How to Spend It Magazine and writer for Dezeen. She was also appointed visiting professor of architecture at the Manchester School of Architecture in 2021.
Further displaying her knowledge and expertise, Michelle has appeared on popular TV shows, co-presenting five series of Kevin McCloud’s Grand Designs: House of the Year and as head judge on Interior Design Master BBC 1 with Alan Carr. Other TV appearances include The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, BBC 4’s Bauhaus documentary and Channel 4’s Inside Out Homes.
Author of the Amazon bestseller, Happy Inside: How to Harness the Power of Home for Health, Michelle also regularly writes for Vogue, Living, Femail, Harrods and Waitrose Weekend. She is also the writer for the Home Whisperer column for the quarterly John Lewis Home magazine.
