Farrah Storr has enjoyed a distinguished career in media and journalism, esteemed for her work as the former Editor-in-Chief of Cosmopolitan UK. Currently the Head of Writer Partnerships at Substack UK, Farrah has edited magazines for over a decade and is a dominant journalist for female audiences. With a decorated career as a journalist behind her, Farrah is now a prominent choice as a keynote speaker, who not only shares the journey of her journalism career but also her newfound passion for challenging discomfort and unlocking human potential.
Farrah is highly acclaimed for having worked on some of the UK’s biggest publications, first beginning her career working on “Women and Home”. She later worked on publications such as “Good Housekeeping”, “Eve” and “Glamour”, along with being the Features Editor of “Marie Claire”. Following a tenure as the ”Deputy Editor of “Top Sante, Farrah aided Hearst-Rodale in the launch of “Women’s Health” UK, also becoming the Editor-in-Chief of the “Women’s Health UK” magazine. In 2015, Farrah moved on to become the Editor-in-Chief of “Cosmopolitan UK”, a role in which she truly thrived and was able to claim the Editor of the Year Award at the BSMEs. Farrah also made headlines after selecting Tess Holliday, a plus-sized model, to star on the front cover of “Cosmopolitan” – winning the Best Cover of 2019 Award.
Since then, Farrah has worked as the Editor-in-Chief of ELLE UK and a Journalism Advisory Board Member at Oxford Brookes University, fostering the next generation of avid journalists and media enthusiasts. In addition to her management of some of the UK’s most popular publications, Farrah has also been a Visiting Course Associate at the University of Gloucestershire, a Board Member of The Royal National Theatre and the Commissioner of Culture, Arts and Media for the UK Government.
