Michal Oshman has enjoyed a decorated career, specialising in learning and HR across a variety of industries. Achieving a BA in Sociology and Anthropology from Tel Aviv University, Michal began her career working as an Organisational Development Consultant for O.C.I Organisational Development Consultancy. Returning to education, Michal graduated with an MA in Organisational Sociology from the University of Haifa and an MA in Practical Organisational Psychology from The Tavistock and Portman Centre. Such qualifications helped Michal to secure a role as a Senior Leadership Development Consultant for Lloyds Bank and a Senior Manager of Leadership Development for Danone. Proving her expertise in leadership development, Michal was later employed as the Group Learning & Development Director for Ogilvy & Mater and the Head of Organisation Development EU for eBay.
Michal also created her own company, offering her services as a Change Management Consultant as part of Michal Oshman Consulting. Leaving eBay in 2012, Michal later went on to become the HR Director of Freuds and the International Head of L&D – Team & Leadership Development for Facebook. With a demonstrated understanding of leadership development, human resources, teamwork, psychology and sociology, Michal was hired as the Global Head of Company Culture for TikTok in 2021. When she is not ensuring that the company culture of TikTok is the best it can be, Michal can be found contributing her expertise to various publications, podcasts and publications. She has also authored the book What Would You Do If You Weren’t Afraid?, in which she details how people can discover a life of purpose and joy.
