He originated the role of Marius in ‘Les Misérables’, before creating the part of Alex in Andrew Lloyd Webber's ‘Aspects of Love’, a performance he later reprised on Broadway. Further acclaimed appearances followed in productions including ‘The Phantom of the Opera’, Stephen Sondheim's ‘Passion’ and his acclaimed solo production ‘Alone Together’ at the Donmar Warehouse. Beyond the theatre, he represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest, finishing second with the memorable song ‘One Step Out of Time’.
Michael's distinguished career has continued to evolve with performances on both stage and screen.
