Throughout his international career, Le Tissier earnt a total of eight caps for England. With his striking game on form as always, he managed to score an impressive hat trick for England B against Russia B whilst in the bid to reach the 1998 FIFA World Cup Final. After brief spells of playing for Eastleigh and Guernsey, Matt retired from professional football and ventured into a media career. He has made frequent appearances as a football pundit and makes regular appearances as a panellist on Sky Sport’s Soccer Saturday. He became an honorary president of his home island team Guernsey in 2011 after briefly registering as a player in 2013.
