Matt Johnson is a popular Welsh television personality. He has presented segments and co-hosted on some of the UK's best-loved shows. After a short spell in acting, which saw Matt play a cameo role in an episode of the sitcom, Gavin & Stacey, Matt moved into presenting. In 2009 Matt began hosting Wales Tonight on ITV Wales. By 2010, he was presenting The Wales Show before ITV moved him across to London to feature in This Morning.
In joining the Hub on the popular breakfast guest talk show, he assumed the role on This Morning until 2013. From there, he became co-presenter of Channel 5's OK! TV, a role which he continues to hold today. Following on from being voted Wales' Sexiest Man in 2010, he was asked to feature in a Christmas special of the popular dating show, Take Me Out. Various appearances on game shows followed as he was a contestant on a celebrity episode of The Chase and on Tipping Point: Lucky Stars.
He has since presented The National Lottery Draws on BBC One and co-presented Hwb, a programme for Welsh learners on S4C. 2015 saw Matt take up a reporter role on ITV series, Surprise Surprise. Among his extensive experience as a television presenter, Matt has found a place as an event host and corporate entertainer, popular for award ceremonies, broadcasts and corporate engagements.
Matt has also established himself as a leading charitable ambassador, even earning himself a place in the Top 50 Most In-Demand Charity Ambassadors in the World. His ambassadorial efforts with MIND and the RSPCA have proven particularly beneficial in raising awareness. And he is filming for a Welsh feature film tackling mental health, called The Point, set to come out in the new year.
