An educational psychology, leadership coach and prolific keynote speaker, Marisa, the Founder of Open Channel Culture, brings with her a profound knowledge of developing essential human skills that are required to thrive in our dynamic, technologically advancing future.
Marisa’s educational qualifications include a Masters degree in Educational Psychology from Hunter College, which set the stage for her illustrious career to follow. She returned to her alma mater as a Researcher on the Effect of Lincoln Centre Institute’s Capacities for Imaginative Learning on Master’s Ed Candidates. Marisa has also been an Educational Specialist at the National School Climate Centre and Workshop Facilitator at Ramapo for Children. Today, Marisa forges partnerships with leaders and teams to improve the organisational culture, foster stronger leadership and develop a sense of responsibility across the organisation.
Serving as the Co-Chair of AI Ethics Education at the IEEE, Marisa’s responsibilities include making astute recommendations on the ethical standards in AI and Intelligent Systems design across the industry. She is of the firm opinion that finding a way to work in tandem with the intelligent technologies that are available to us, will help create a better future. Marisa is also certain that developing social-emotional and creative intelligences will serve us manifold, as these essential human skills are prerequisites to a better future. Marisa is currently a Consultant at MindPrint Learning & Advisory Board Member at Smart Ethics where she prioritises people's and the planet's needs by keeping them at the core whilst designing new technology.
